Jon Olinski, MBA, ICD.D, ACCUD
BOARD MEMBER
Jon was elected to the Luminus Board in 2013 and served as Chair from April 2019 until August 2023. Prior to serving as Board Chair, he served as Vice Chair (2017-2019), Corporate Secretary (2015-2017) and Chair of the Audit Committee (2018-2019).
Jon Olinski is a Professor and Program Coordinator for the Public Administration program within Seneca College’s School of Legal and Public Administration where he also teaches courses in business, economics, communications, ethics and government policy. Jon brings a broad background in public affairs and human resources, with over 20 years of experience in the post-secondary education and non-profit sectors.
He has also served as a member of the Audit, Governance, Human Resources, Education, Mergers and Acquisitions, and Nominating Committees of Luminus.
Actively involved in his community, Jon has served on numerous boards and is currently serving as Vice Chair for the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC).
Jon holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Angila Ruskin University and is a graduate of Conestoga College’s Business Administration-Management Studies and Human Resources Management programs.
Jon has also completed the ICD-Rotman Directors Education program and holds the ICD.D designation. He also holds the Accredited Canadian Credit Union Director (ACCUD) designation awarded by the Credit Union Institute of Canada and Dalhousie University and multiple designations from the Canadian Institute of Management.
