Donna is an accomplished professional with a diverse background and a strong commitment to community engagement. Growing up in the bustling metropolis of Brantford, she witnessed the vital role that Credit Unions played in supporting the local economy and middle-class stability.

After obtaining a diploma in Legal Administration from Seneca College, Donna worked as a Law Clerk before taking a break to raise her children. She re-entered the workforce at Toronto Pearson International Airport, where she made history by becoming the first female firefighter in 1988. Her dedication and leadership skills led to a rapid promotion to Captain, overseeing a team of firefighters and trucks.

Alongside her professional achievements, Donna actively participated in community service. She served as a volunteer member and later President of the Altar Guild, managing a team of 44 members. In 2007, she pursued further education at Seneca College and earned a diploma in Fire Protection, allowing her to contribute to fire prevention efforts.

Donna’s dedication to community extends to her involvement in credit unions. Since 2012, she has served as a Board Member and Chair of the Airline Financial Credit Union, and now with Luminus Financial. She recognizes the importance of ongoing education to maintain industry standards and foster a stable financial environment for members.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Donna is an avid runner and has completed numerous marathons, half marathons, and shorter races. Nowadays, she embraces outdoor activities such as hiking and camping, finding solace under the stars.
